One of the most frequently asked questions we get before starting any project is: how much does it cost to produce a corporate event in Argentina? The honest answer is that it depends on many variables, but that doesn’t mean we can’t talk about real ranges. Here you’ll find them, along with what really pushes the price up or down.
The most common mistake: asking for a price without defining the event
"I want an event for 200 people" is not a brief. With lunch or without? With audiovisual production or just a microphone? Do you already have the venue, or are we looking for it? Do you need simultaneous interpretation? Are there brand activations? Each of those answers can move the budget 30% up or down.
Price ranges by category
Prices are expressed in dollars because that is the usual reference unit for this type of project in Argentina, even when the final invoice is in pesos.
Venue
4- or 5-star hotel ballrooms: between USD 3,000 and USD 18,000 per day
Industrial and cultural spaces: between USD 2,000 and USD 8,000 per day
Convention centers: from USD 5,000 for medium-sized halls, with peaks of USD 30,000 or more for full venues
Outdoor spaces and private patios: USD 1,500 to USD 6,000, with additional costs for tents and weather-related logistics
Technical production (sound, lighting, video)
Small event (up to 150 people, basic setup): USD 2,000 to USD 5,000
Medium event (150-400 people, screens and professional audio): USD 6,000 to USD 15,000
Large event (500+ people, elaborate production): USD 15,000 to USD 50,000+
Catering
Coffee break or snack: USD 15 to USD 35 per person
Working lunch (buffet or family-style service): USD 40 to USD 80 per person
Gala dinner with table service: USD 90 to USD 200 per person
Cocktails and passed hors d'oeuvres: USD 30 to USD 70 per person
Communications and PR
Full event graphic design: USD 800 to USD 3,000
Professional photography: USD 600 to USD 2,000
Corporate video or documentary coverage: USD 1,500 to USD 6,000
Press management and media relations: USD 1,500 to USD 5,000
General production and event direction
Production fees range between 12% and 20% of the project’s total budget, depending on the complexity and the size of the team required.
Variables that affect the price
Date and lead time: an event planned 3 months in advance can cost between 20% and 35% less than the same event planned in 3 weeks. Premium suppliers are not available on short notice, and the ones left know they have negotiating power.
Day of the week: venues have different rates. Monday through Thursday is considerably cheaper than Friday or Saturday. A Tuesday can mean a 30% savings on the venue.
Customization vs. standard: custom scenery, 3D branding, special installations, live shows, simultaneous interpretation — each element adds up. An event with standard production can cost half as much as the same event with elaborate production for the same number of attendees.
Location: Buenos Aires has the largest supply of specialized vendors. Producing the same event in Córdoba, Mendoza, or the Litoral region can involve travel costs for technical suppliers that add between USD 2,000 and USD 8,000 to the budget.
Mistakes that unnecessarily make events more expensive
Changing the brief after the budget has been approved: every change has a real cost in replanning hours and supplier penalties. Define the event well before asking for quotes.
Leaving everything to the last minute: last-minute logistics are always more expensive. Transport companies charge rush fees, and so do technicians.
Not accounting for contingencies: the standard is to reserve between 8% and 12% of the total for contingencies. Events that do not do this end up overspending or cutting quality on the day of the event.
Underestimating technical production: bad sound ruins any event, no matter how good the content is. Technical production is not where you save money; it is where you stand out.
Reference total ranges by event scale

Large-scale event or big convention (500-2,000 people): USD 100,000 – 400,000+
